Mahsa Amini
Wonder Women – I LOVE drawing strong women, and these women inspire me:
Jacinda Ardern, former Prime Minister of New Zealand
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, is the USA representative for New York
Kamala Harris, former Vice President and senator of the USA, and former District Attorney (San Francisco) and Attorney General for California, was the only presidential candidate who had worked in all three branches of the United States government
Stacey Abrams, lawyer and former Georgia state representative and voting rights activist
Debra Haaland, who was the first Native American to serve as Cabinet Secretary of the Interior, and second to serve in the Cabinet of the USA
Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to serve as a US Supreme Court justice
Loujain al-Hathloul, who has campaigned for women’s right to drive in Saudi Arabia
Jina, “Mahsa,” Amini was arrested by Iran’s morality police for wearing her hijab “improperly.” It was reported that she was beaten and died three days later, while in police custody. Her death sparked outrage and protest, with many women cutting their hair or burning their hijab.
