I’m Lana Lê, a designer and illustrator (currently based in London) whose favorite (or is it ‘favourite’?) thing to do is make books. I’ve worked on books for Random House, Abrams, Hearst, Harper Collins, and Storey Publishing, and I’d love to collaborate with you.
I often work under the alias woolypear, a pseudonym based on my name: Lana in Italian = wool, and Lê means pear in Vietnamese.
Here’s a couple projects I’m passionate about:
Kidcandoodle.com is a doodle club I created to encourage and celebrate drawing. I was inspired by my own kids’ drawings — I admire how fearlessly children draw, not worrying about whether it looks “right,” as we do when we get older.
